Vivai Toso Orlando Soc. Agricola has always been attentive to care and respect for the environment.
In addition to participating in environmental reforestation through the supply of young plants, it also supplies the accessories necessary for their planting and development.
The proposed accessories are ecological and 100% biodegradable so as to avoid introducing polluting and residual materials into the environment.

OUR COMMITMENT TO THE ENVIRONMENT

The use of natural fibers and ecological recyclable materials
Non-polluting products and therefore without residues to be recovered and disposed of
Providing an ecological and more performing alternative to existing products

For an Eco-sustainable future:
Elimination of chemical fertilizers … The “Nitrates Directive”

The protection of the environment, aquatic ecosystems and human health has become a priority for safeguarding against pollution, therefore in areas where the vulnerability of the aquatic system has been ascertained from nitrates of agricultural origin, it is essential to provide for specific measures aimed at correcting this trend, implementing restrictions that limit, in agricultural practice, the use of fertilizers and soil conditioners containing nitrogen.
In 1991 the C.E. with Directive 676 “Nitrates Directive” it has indicated to the member states to take the necessary actions to identify areas of significant concentration of nitrates in soil of agricultural origin and how to remedy them.
Italy implemented the measure in 1999 with Legislative Decree 152, which mandated the Regions to define “areas vulnerable to nitrates”, ie areas where nitrates, present in the water, have reached or are reaching the limit level. The areas thus identified must be subjected to a series of interventions aimed at solving the problem and bringing the situation back to normal.
The individual regions apply the legislation by identifying the amount of fertilizer to be used in line with the rules of good agricultural practice and the strategies to be adopted to achieve integration between agriculture, livestock and the environment. It should not be forgotten, however, that, with regard to limiting the use of fertilizers and safeguarding the “environment” system, already with Reg. Ce 1750/99 implemented with D.M. 19.04.99, the legislator intended “to introduce behavioral standards of good agricultural practices that a diligent farmer must observe” (CBPA).

SHELTER

Shelters are protection systems of the young seedlings planted for forest or nursery use or for young plants in public parks and in viticulture.
Their function is to protect the tender stem of seedlings from wild rodents, such as hares, wild boars, etc., and from atmospheric agents, maintaining an ideal microclimate for their development.

Shelter PFX – Net

Mesh shelters are made of high intensity “HDPE” polypropylene and are particularly resistant against the action of wild rodents.
This type of shelter does not require special assembly operations as they are rolled up on themselves and therefore easy to apply.
They last 2 years before degrading in a natural way without constituting pollution for the territory or aquifers.

Technical features:

  • 3 x 4 mm net mesh. – thickness 1 mm.
  • Weight: 240 g
  • Black colour
  • Packaging: diam. 6 cm. (5 pcs. Per pack) – diam. 12 cm. (4 pcs per pack)

Types:

  1. Shelter PFX h. 55 cm. – diam. 6
  2. Shelter PFX h. 55 cm. – diam. 12
  3. Shelter PFX h. 100 cm. – diam. 6

Shelter P-RB – Net

The P.RB shelters in mesh are also made of “HDPE” and are particularly resistant against the action of wild rodents but differ from the others having a 10 x 10 mesh
This type of shelter requires to be anchored to the ground by using a small bamboo splint to stick in the ground for at least 1/3 of the total length of the shelter and tied to the brace in at least 2 points.
They also have a duration of 2 years at the end of which they begin to degrade naturally without polluting.

Technical features:

  • 10 x 10 mm mesh shirt. – thickness 1 mm.
  • Black colour
  • Packaging: 100 mt rolls linear diam. 140 mm.
  • Cutting: it is possible to request individual pieces cut to size. The cost of the cut is calculated separately

Shelter IK500

The IK500 shelters (in HDPE) have been designed against the action of wild boar or deer having a particularly robust structure and reinforced by a longitudinal band which is also useful for supporting both for a stronger attachment to the brace.
For this type of shelter the application of 2 bamboo support rods is suggested.
They are particularly suitable for the protection of conifers and plants with low side branches

Technical features

  • 15 x 20 mm mesh shirt. – thickness 2 mm.
  • Green colour
  • Cutting: it is possible to request individual pieces cut to size. The cost of the cut is
  • calculated separately

Packaging:

  1. rolls of 100 mt. linear diam. 300 mm (to be cut as desired) – 8 rolls / pallet
  2. 120 cm high shelter. – 500 pieces / pallets

BioShelt

BioShelts are made with marsh reeds that come from mowing maintenance work on canals or swamps in Italian territory.
Unlike common plastic shelters, they can be left in the environment, thus reducing recovery and disposal costs by being 100% biodegradable and environmentally sustainable and permeable to rain.

  • Biodegradable shelters for plant protection, made with marsh reeds
Height 50/100/200 cm, no need for support braces.
100% ecological (no polluting chemical or plastic materials)
No labor and transport costs for recovery and disposal
    Significant aesthetic / visual improvement

Packaging:

  • “BioShelt” ecological shelter: h. 55 cm. x diam. 10, rolls of 20 pcs.
“BioShelt” ecological shelter: h. 100 cm. x diam. 10, rolls of 20 pcs.

Mulching discs or tiles

Mulching means materials intended to cover the ground for various operational purposes, such as:

  • evapotranspiration control
  • the limitation of the growth of weeds
  • protection from temperature changes

Natural mulching in Juta fibers (ecological and 100% biodegradable).
Available in rolls, disks or squares measuring 40 x 40 cm. or 50 x 50 cm. or other measures on request.

“Jutatex” mulching squares:

The “Jutatex” mulching squares are produced with 100% jute fibers deriving from the recycling of food bags, biodegradable and 100% permeable, therefore they are environmentally sustainable.
They are available in the following ways and are pre-cut in rolled coils:
